I can't think of any one reason why I want to be a surgeon, but I can think of 1,000 reasons why I should quit. They make it hard on purpose. There are lives in our hands. There comes a moment when it's more than just a game and you either take that step forward or turn around and walk away. I could quit, but here's the thing... I love the playing field.

I can't think of any one reason why I want to be a physician, but suddenly right now I can think in every reason why I should quit. They make it fucking hard on purpose. I can't memorize those things. I sleep every night thinking, wondering and sleeping about those drugs, and treatments, and I get confused. I can't sleep thinking I have already finished learning something. How come you tell me this is easy? There's no logical reason and your books may say data that they found it wasn't real. But, there are lives in our hands. There comes a moment when it's more than just a game and you either take step forward or turn around and run away as fast as you can. I could quit, but here's the thing... I LOVE the playing field.
